DDS-4000 Suite Minimize

The DDS-4000 application suite allows current DDR users to add a complete real-time decommutation capability to any of our DDR Digital Data Recorders without having to modify the DDR hardware in any way. The decom capabilty runs up to the full bandwidth of the DDR system and allows for decommutation, network data serving of decommutated parameters, and full bandwidth telemetry recording simultaneously.

The DDS-4000 application allows the user to map complete IRIG-106 Type I and Type II telemetry streams. These parameters can be served to display clients in real-time in their respective engineering units. Super-commutation, sub-commutation and mode dependence are all managed in the DDS-4000. Mathematical functions can be applied to raw data to convert to engineering units.

Once data has been recorded, post-test extraction of parameters into engineering units data files is extremely rapid and flexible. Data files can also be played back to the display clients upon test completion. No tape rewinding or cueing is necessary. Extracted data files are saved in an ASCII comma delimited format (.csv), and can be manipulated with any analysis package.

The DDS-4000 application suite includes a data plotting tool that can be automated to produce and print preformatted graphs of telemetry data with minimal or no user interaction.

The DDS-4000 application suite has an open software architecture which allows the user to develop any type of custom data processing, communications or external interfaces. This architecture provides a hook directly into the application code, allowing the user to implement any existing software routines they may have (i. e. Kallman Filtering, PSD, Focal Plane Imaging, FFT etc.), and see the results in real-time as telemetry data is being received.

Parameter Mapping
Parameter mapping is easily accomplished using the DDS-4000's graphical user interface. Parameters can also be imported and exported electronically using our spreadsheet import/export utility. The import/export utility is a great tool for managing large telemetry maps.

Telemetry File Playback
Telemetry files (.tel files) can be played back immediately after a mission or test run. The telemetry data is recorded directly to hard disk, and is randomly accessible. There is no waiting for tape rewinding. The user just selects the range for playback and clicks on the Begin button, and playback occurs instantly..

Grouped Parameters for Real-time or Post Test
Parameters can be arranged into logical groupings to allow users to rapidly extract specific parameters in engineering units from raw telemetry files.

Extraction Results
Extracted data files are saved in a comma delimited ASCII format (.csv) that can be used by any analysis software. CSV files are also directly usable by Microsoft Excel.

TLM Display 2 Application
Data that is served from the DDS-4000 software package can be viewed in real-time using our TLM DIsplay 2 application.
